When I discovered hot yoga back in 2015, it literally saved me. It helped me get through some major life changes. I had lost my mom suddenly to cancer, I’d left my childhood religion, and was lacking the strength to end my eighteen-year marriage.
Yoga lit a flame in me that helped me find myself. It taught me to live in the now and let go of things that no longer served me. Through yoga and meditation I realized everything isn’t going to be OK…it already is OK.
Ever since then, I think in terms of LBY (Life Before Yoga) and LAY (Life After Yoga). Learning to slow down, meditate, and find my breath, helped calm my anxious mind, appreciate my body for the gift that it is, and find solitude in stillness. I am forever a student, I learn, grow and evolve every single day…and I love that!
My goal is to teach you to slow down, listen to your body, and find balance in your workouts, which is key to staying young and injury-free.
